What is the main reason for me to use Voyager?

In the current financial climate where credit is harder to obtain, Voyager will guarantee your credit to any contracted supplier. You are given an average of 36 days credit for all your fuel transactions. This will enhance your liquidity and improve your profitability.

Will it give me any financial benefit?

How much will it cost me?

There is no charge for buyers to use Voyager.

Won’t the suppliers just pass on the fees resulting in higher prices for me to pay?

No. The financial advantages for a supplier using Voyager are substantial even when they absorb 100% of the fee.

What are my contractual obligations?

None whatsoever. If you sign up to use Voyager you will not be asked for any upfront fees, licences, maintenance charges, minimum transaction requirements or any other contractual obligation. Your only obligation as a buyer is to pay your bill on time.

How secure is the site?

Voyager is completely secure and your information will never be divulged to third parties without your express permission.  The Voyager site uses the best in technology and security practices, you can be completely confident in Voyager’s security.

How confidential are my accounts and deals transacted on Voyager?

You will send your financial information directly to US Bank for credit review. US Bank complies with strict banking rules and has audited procedures in place to ensure your financial information remains completely confidential. While you will work closely with Voyager personnel on operational issues, only qualified US Bank personnel see or handle client financial information. If you use Voyager, you will not have to give your information to suppliers. This ensures that your financial position is never divulged to your bunker suppliers compromising your negotiating position. When you undertake and complete transactions on Voyager, all your transactions remain private to you and your supplier and no other system user can see any of this information at any time.

How do the suppliers respond to the standard contracts you offer?

Change can be difficult for some, but many suppliers are seeing this as a good opportunity for secure and rapid payment during very turbulent times.

We have a very sophisticated system, how can Voyager help me?

Voyager is compatible with most systems and can work in parallel to your existing system to save you money. At a later date it can be integrated with your own system to give a seamless solution.

What information do I need to supply in order for you to assess my credit worthiness?

The information required varies in each case. The buyer’s relationship with US Bank is best thought of as a banking relationship, so three years of audited financial statements and possibly more detailed information will be required.

Do I need to switch my bank accounts to US Bank?

No. US Bank provides Voyager with its financial strength to underwrite each bunker transaction. US Bank will assess your company for credit worthiness but it will not expect you to conduct any of your general banking business with them.
